You Use this Extension Mast

to Mount the Capacity Hat

Above the Loading Coil 

Like all antennas, there are circulating currents around the loading coil of the 1800/Pro and the Sidekick.  If you are installing the Six Shooter or the Spurs capacity hat, this extension mast will put the capacity above those circulating currents.  In other words, it adds a little to the efficiency of the capacity hat.

These are made from steel that is plated and then powder coated black.  The nuts on the ends are adjustable.  The threads are the standard 3/8-24.
