You asked for it and here it is.  Here's High Sierra's new 2 meter 5/8 wave antenna with an NMO base.  This is commercial grade and does have some gain because it is a 5/8 wavelength.  It is 55 inches tall. For 140 MHz, you will need to trim the whip.  It is likely that the length will be about 48 to 52 inches.  So, you can start with a much longer length and then trim the whip as needed.  Do that in small steps.  The basic formula is 585/F in MHz.       

You can use one of our NMO Mounts. 

The price listed is for the antenna.  It does not include a mount.  The magnet mount shown was the easiest way to stand the antenna upright for the photographer.
