Beryllium Fingerstock

Product Information

We don't use

Beryllium Fingerstock

in our antennas

It is our opinion that Beryllium

and exposure to Beryllium dust

is dangerous to our employees

and can kill!

Which leads us to the next question.

Do you really want

Beryllium Fingerstock

inside your Screwdriver Antenna?

We have never used Beryllium in our antennas.  The picture above shows a very typical way that some use Beryllium fingerstock to make contact with the coil.  On this one touted as the best copy of a High Sierra, the Beryllium is held in place with double sided sticky tape.  The surface of the fingerstock is abraded by the coil which may create Beryllium dust and that's not good.

We use a stainless steel spring to make contact with the coil.  It is a patented spring.  So, before you buy a copy of a High Sierra, you probably should ask if it contains hazardous Beryllium.

You might want to read some of these links to learn more about Beryllium.  Beryllium is no joke.  It has killed!

"...exposure to minute quantities of Beryllium dust could cause an incurable, potentially fatal lung disease commonly referred to as Beryllium Disease."
